It is important for Partners to check into state-specific requirements – apart from the SEC - for procurement, operations & maintenance, and disposition of computer equipment.
States, for example, may have contracts for computer procurement or disposition that agencies may be required to or have the option to purchase off of; may have executive orders pertaining to environmentally preferable purchasing or energy use; or may have requirements for how surplus equipment is handled.
The following state resource pages provide Partners with links to state programs or requirements for purchasing, power management, surplus equipment, and equipment recycling.
Also listed are Points of Contact (POC) for the State Electronics Challenge in each state. The POCs can help answer questions about state programs and requirements relative to the SEC, or direct you to available state resources. FOR GENERAL QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SEC OR SEC PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS, PLEASE CONTACT , OR CALL 802-254-3636.
