It’s free! Any state agency, county, city, town, tribal unit, public school, university, or other public sector entity within the United States can participate in the State Electronics Challenge (SEC) as a “Partner” organization. The SEC is committed to helping Partners improve their electronics stewardship, regardless of their size or current electronics management practices.
Ready to join? It’s a simple 3 step process:
Just complete the on-line registration form. It is free and simple. It won’t take more than 2 or 3 minutes of your time. Or you can download the form and send it by mail (SEC, c/o NERC, 139 Main St., Suite 401, Brattleboro, VT 05301) or fax (802-254-5870).
No information provided to the SEC, including name, phone number, address, and email address, will be shared, sold, or distributed. All such contact information is for SEC internal use only.
After you’ve submitted the registration form, complete the on-line baseline survey of current practices within 4 weeks of registration. It too can be mailed or faxed. Data submitted to the SEC will be reported only as aggregate data from all SEC Partners, and will not be attributed to specific Partners. Information specific to a Partner will not be released without the Partner’s express permission.
Decide which lifecycle(s) phases you will address – the choice is yours. You can pick one, two, or all three: procurement, operations & maintenance, end-of-life management. The Program Requirements Checklist outlines the activities to be completed for each lifecycle phase.
